Day 1: Arrival in Kigali Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our team and transferred to your comfortable accommodation in Kigali. Depending on your arrival time, you can choose to explore local markets or unwind after your journey. Spend your first night in Kigali.
Day 2: Akagera National Park
Depart for Akagera National Park, a scenic drive that takes you to the heart of East Africa’s savannah landscapes. Arrive at your lodge within the park, settle in, and savor a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, set out on a thrilling game drive to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and an array of bird species. Overnight stay in Akagera.
Day 3: Full Day in Akagera
Dedicate this day to a full-day adventure in Akagera National Park. Embark on game drives across different sections of the park, discovering its diverse ecosystems and the animals that call it home. Take in the stunning vistas and capture memorable wildlife encounters. In the afternoon, enjoy a serene boat safari on Lake Ihema, observing hippos, crocodiles, and various water birds. Day 4: Journey to Volcanoes National Park
Embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, a journey that takes you through picturesque landscapes. Check in at your lodge near the park and take the afternoon to rest and prepare for the next day’s highlight: gorilla trekking. Overnight near Volcanoes National Park.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking
An early start leads you to an extraordinary encounter with Rwanda’s gentle giants. Embark on a gorilla trek through lush forests, guided by knowledgeable trackers. Witness the awe-inspiring sight of gorilla families in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your lodge to relish the memories of this remarkable experience. Day 6: Departure
On your final day, check out from your lodge and journey back to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, you might have some free time to explore Kigali’s attractions or shop for souvenirs. Later, our team will transfer you to Kigali International Airport for your departure, marking the end of an extraordinary Rwandan adventure.
