The trip of climbing Mount Kenya through the Chogoria Route is an exhilarating and awe-inspiring adventure that takes you to the second-highest peak in Africa. Day 1: The adventure commences at the Chogoria Gate.

They trek amidst lush vegetation, enjoying the natural beauty surrounding them. By afternoon, the group arrives at the Chogoria Bandas, a set of mountain huts or campsites situated at an elevation of approximately 3,000 meters (9,840 feet). The relatively gentle ascent on the first day allows the climbers to gradually acclimatize to the increasing altitude.
Day 2: With excitement and determination.

Day 3: The third day presents the group with a challenging but rewarding hike to Mintos Hut.

Mintos Hut, located at an elevation of approximately 4,300 meters (14,110 feet), welcomes them with awe-inspiring views of the Gorges Valley. This day serves as another opportunity for acclimatization as they rest and prepare for the ascent to come.
Day 4: To enhance their acclimatization, the climbers take an acclimatization hike to Lake Michaelson.

The climbers push on to reach the Austrian Hut, situated at an elevation of about 4,790 meters (15,710 feet). This cozy hut offers them respite and shelter, giving them time to rest before the eagerly anticipated summit attempt.
Day 6: The much-anticipated summit day dawns.
The climbers embark on an early morning ascent to Point Lenana, the third-highest peak on Mount Kenya, at an elevation of 4,985 meters (16,355 feet) above sea level. They conquer the challenging terrain and are rewarded with the breathtaking spectacle of the sunrise from the summit. The panoramic views of the surrounding highlands fill them with a sense of achievement and wonder. After savoring the moment, they descend back to the Austrian Hut for a well-deserved breakfast and rest before continuing the descent to the Chogoria Gate. The journey concludes as they bid farewell to the majestic Mount Kenya and drive back to Chogoria town for celebrations and relaxation.
Day 7: The final day involves departing from Chogoria town.
Either continuing onward to the next destination or returning to Nairobi, carrying with them cherished memories of an unforgettable and triumphant climbing experience on the magnificent Mount Kenya.
